We all know this holiday season is going to be, well, a little different… However, there’s no reason why it can’t be just as magical. Our team is hard at work prepping the shop for the influx of gift-seekers and we have some tips to help make your experience here (and in every shop) a smooth one! We are so grateful for all the support we have received from you - our customers - throughout this strange period, and we want to thank you for shopping small and local this season.

1. For the safety of our customers and employees, Lapis will be limiting the number of shoppers in our store to 8 people at a time. As we near December, this means we may have to ask you to wait a few minutes in line before entering the shop. To avoid the line, send us an email or give us a call with at least 24-hours notice and make a shopping appointment. We will hold a spot for you to shop during our regular hours. So that everyone has a chance to shop, we ask that you keep your appointment to under an hour.

2. Masks and hand sanitizer are required to enter the shop. We have disposable masks available for our customers in case you forget yours at home. To help ensure we have enough for everyone, we encourage you to wear your own reusable mask. You are welcome to provide your own hand sanitizer, or we have some spray-on sanitizer from Heritage Distilling Company in Gig Harbor.

3. There’s no time like the present to find your presents! Shopping early means you can enjoy the weeks following Thanksgiving stress-free knowing you’ve already found all the goodies you need for your loved ones. Additionally, any special orders placed in October and early November have a better chance of arriving in time. Many of our vendors have extended shipping times due to the usual holiday rush, which has been compounded due to COVID-19. We are always available to help confirm expected shipping times for any special orders.

4. Ever worked with a personal shopper? Need some ideas for the one person in your life who already has everything? We are here to help! We can even shop over the phone with you and have all your gifts wrapped and ready for pickup.

5. We’ve been hard at work updating our website with delicious jewels. Don’t want to shop with the crowds? Shop online!

6. Make it easy for your honey to get you exactly what you want by starting a wishlist with us. There’s no commitment, just ask one of our associates to write down all your favorites - we keep them filed under your name so your someone-special can come in and buy them all when you least expect it *wink*
