Large East West Tote, Indigo
The perfect (over)size tote bag for a trip to the grocery store or a weekend away, and it’s washable.
Indigo canvas is hand-dyed using blue pigment from indigo plants. To achieve this shade of blue, the fabric is dyed in layers over time, requiring around 15 submerges into the dye vat. The rich blue will naturally fade over time, revealing the grain of the fabric and creating a traditional “denim” look.
We have updated our dyeing method so that the indigo won't shed dye as it is worn. However, all indigo has the potential to shed until it fades or is washed a few times. Because of this, we recommend that you not wear light colors when carrying this bag.
Due to our small batch production and the handwork involved, canvas colors will vary slightly from one production to the next.
Immodest Cotton
Immodest Cotton was founded on the belief that bags should be both beautiful and built to last. Our designs balance color, function, and durability—pieces meant to move through life with you, each day. Our process is intentional: small-batch production, less waste, and timeless materials. We work with custom-dyed canvases, vegetable-tanned leathers and solid hardware - materials that don’t just hold up, but grow richer over time. The patina is a collaboration between you and your bag, telling a story that’s uniquely yours. From our studio in Maine to trusted makers in the U.S. and India, every bag is crafted with care. We’re a small team who loves what we do, and we hope our products bring a sense of joy, ease, and longevity to your everyday life.
