Sarah McGuire | Ursa Major Earrings
Inspired by star maps and the quiet beauty of night skies, the Ursa Major Earrings from Sarah McGuire offer a modern take on celestial minimalism. Each hammered disk feels like a tiny moon—organic, textured, and softly glowing with a satin finish. Look closer and you’ll see an asymmetrical constellation of white diamonds: three twinkling on one earring, a single star shining on the other. It’s a subtle mismatch that feels intentional and effortlessly cool.
In matte sterling silver with 18k yellow gold ear wires, these earrings bring just the right amount of sparkle—.045ct total—from diamonds that feel more like stardust than bling.
At just over an inch in total length, they offer elegant movement without overpowering your look. Whether you’re dressing up for an evening out or adding a touch of stargazer magic to your everyday uniform, these earrings are a wearable reminder that the best kind of luxury is thoughtful, meaningful, and a little bit cosmic.

Sarah McGuire
Jewelry designer and metalsmith Sarah McGuire finds inspiration in organic forms, manmade curiosities, and classic modernist design. Growing up in New England, Sarah spent her summers on the beaches of Cape Cod and coastal Connecticut, collecting objects and absorbing the landscape that would later inform her work as a jeweler. She graduated from Parsons School of Design and spent over a decade in New York before moving to Chicago. From her timber-loft studio, the designer and a small team craft each piece of jewelry by hand. Sarah uses recycled metal – primarily high-karat gold and sterling – mixing it with linen, leather, rough gemstones and diamonds. With its emphasis on both design and craftsmanship, Sarah’s spare, organic work rewards scrutiny without clamoring for attention. Her goal is to make timeless, meticulously crafted pieces that can be treasured for years to come.
